Diese Uhr ersetzt meine Casio MDV-101, die etwa 10 Jahren mein zuverlässiger Begleiter war. Sie bleib einfach stehen, wie snst auch, wenn die Batterie mal leer war. Leider ließ sie sich auch mit neuer Batterie nicht mehr zum Leben erwecken.Dieses Modell MTD-1053 ist nahezu identisch mit dem Vorgänger, lediglich fehlt auf Zifferblatt und Gehäuseboden dieser Marlin (Schwert- oder Speerfisch), der meine alte Uhr zierte. Die alte war definitiv tauglich zum Gerätetauchen, und hat mich dabei auch häufig und ohne Wassereinbruch begleitet. Ich meine mich zu erinnern, dass mit diesem Marlin damals diejenigen Casio-Uhren beworben wurden, die ausdrücklich zum “Scuba diving” geeignet waren. Laut Tabelle im Beipackzettel der neuen sind alle Uhren die Casio mit “200M WATER RESISTANT” bezeichnet tauglich für Scuba diving. Somit stellt der fehlende Marlin zwar einen kleinen optischen, aber keinen technischen Unterschied zum alten Modell dar. Auch ohne den nunmehr fehlenden Marlin finde ich das Uhrendesign sehr gelungen, ohne jeglichen Schnickschnack sinnvoll und attraktiv. Das Zifferblatt ist sehr gut ablesbar und das Datum (nunmehr dank Gleitsichtbrille) problemlos ohne Lupe erkennbar. Zeiger und diverse Marken leuchten nach hinreichender Sonnenbestrahlung sehr gut und lange nach (siehe Foto).Design, Größe, Gewicht und technische Eigenschaften sind für mich einfach perfekt. Der Preis (50 €) ist einfach unglaublich günstig und ich kann für diese Uhr eine klare Kaufempfehlung geben.PS: Das Uhrwerk No. 2784 ist gleich geblieben, somit wird auch die Ganggenauigkeit unverändert und sehr gut sein. In den wenigen Tagen seit der Lieferung konnte ich jedenfalls keine nennenswerte Zeitabweichung feststellen. Meine Armbanduhr trage ich täglich und vergesse leider oft sie abzunehmen, wenn mal eine handwerkliche Tätigkeit ansteht. Daher stelle ich im direkten Vergleich, alt gegen neu schon ein paar Kratzer am alten Modell fest. Sie ist allerdings in Würde gealtert und sieht auch jetzt noch wirklich gut aus. Auch das Glas hat ein paar winzige Macken abbekommen. Es ist allerdings kein Saphirglas wie ein Vorrezensent schrieb, sondern lediglich Mineralglas, jedoch von offenbar guter Qualität. Wenn die neue Uhr wieder 10 Jahre hält bin ich superglücklich mit diesem Kauf.[PPS: Leider erscheint das mit der Rezension hochgeladene Foto (noch?) nicht. Warum???]

I was in the market for a watch to bring with me on a sun holiday. Requirements were pretty simple, 200m water resistant for diving, inexpensive, steel bracelet if possible. I had planned on ordering the more popular Casio MDV 106 though getting your hands on that in the UK is tricky to say the least and I wanted to avoid excessive shipping costs and customs. This watch popped up as the best alternative.The watch came packaged in the standard Casio packaging which is best described as functional if spartan, it was well protected but far from well presented. However once the packaging had been shed this watch really hits its stride. First impressions were very positive, it feels like a solid watch. The stainless steel casing has a satisfying heft which gives the impression that this is a dependable and rugged tool watch. The bracelet compliments the face nicely and feels secure (after I had two links removed to make it fit properly). The uni-rotational bezel is easily adjusted to measure dive time with each adjustment giving off a series of audible “clicks”. The time and date can be adjusted by unscrewing the crown which has to be screwed back in tightly to ensure water resistance. I did find the crown guards made it a little difficult to unscrew the crown initially though fortunately I haven’t had to change the time or date since I got the watch.Casio are known for producing reliable quartz watches and this seems to be no exception, in the 3 months I have owned it, there has been no discernible gain or loss in time and I can’t see it becoming an issue until the battery runs out a couple of years down the line. While I didn’t have the opportunity to bring it for a scuba dive I have been swimming with this watch on several occasions in both pools and the sea. There was no leakage or signs of any moisture inside the watch. Given the reputation of other Casio watches as dependable dive watches I am pretty confident that this watch should stand up to its 200m rating and I plan on testing that as soon as I can.Given its price point this is an outstanding watch, but it is not without its faults. The lume has been impressively long lasting to the extent that I could read the time in a dark room when the watch hadn’t been exposed to light in over 6 hours, that being said the lume is not particularly bright and getting a quick read of the time can be tricky in low light conditions. I have also noticed a small scratch on the bezel which I was quite surprised given that I have been quite careful with the watch. I think the watch may just be a little prone to scratches. These complaints are admittedly extremely minor but I felt they were worth mentioning.The MDT 105 is an incredible watch at this price point. Its features and finish are that of a considerably more expensive watch and truth by told it has very few flaws. I can whole heartedly recommend it and I will be happy to periodically update this review should anything pop up. I have attached a few pics that I took while on holiday as I sometimes find that Amazon’s pics don’t do a watch justice.

Un diver Casio. Difficile fare di meglio
[...]Si tratta di un quarzo con diametro contenuto, diciamo intorno ai 41mm, esclusa corona. Fondello a.vite, Corona a vite, movimento con scarti da. Me rilevato di circa 13 secondi in 4?mesi. Ne ho posseduto uno identico per 7 anni. Mai avuto un problema , solo un cambio di batteria dopo 4 anni. Lo persi dimenticando di prenderlo salendo dalla spiaggia. Tanto mi è mancato xhene.ho ripreso uno uguale. Se.volete andare sul.classico prendere il.nero, il blu, dicono, sia molto più bello, ma il colore lo rende molto più sportivo. 54 euro… Non so come sia possibile. Prendetelo se vi serve un orologio vero, concreto, che non vi abbandonerà mai, neppure se non ne avrete particolare riguardo. ricordo che la corona è il fondello sono a vite con oring spessore vetro 3mm. bracciale a maglie ripiegate che fa molto anni80 ma che non dispiace affatto . io credo che se volete acquistare un orologio da immersione senza svenarvi questo Casio sia l’unica alternativa concreta che porta con sé un heritage importante

Ottimo orologio e qualità

Rapporto sostanza-prezzo imbattibile
[...]Comprato in versione nera a 45 euro (aprile21)Installa un affidabilissimo e collaudatissimo movimento al quarzo myiota con durata della batteria di circa due-tre anni.Si tratta di un tre sfere con datario.Tutto acciaio e impermeabilità di 200 metri.Ben costruito dal punto di vista dell’impermeabilizzazione vista la buona struttura di sedi e o-ring del fondello a vite e del doppio o-ring installato nel sistema della corona; anche quest’ultima a vite.Dimensioni non esagerate grazie a un diametro di 40 mm ,un lug to lug di 48 mm e uno spessore di 12 mm; il peso è di circa 130g e la larghezza ansa 20.Dal vivo denota una certa ricercatezza che riesce a non renderlo banale grazie alle parti lucide e satinate del bracciale e ad una cassa leggermente assimmetrica; le spallette proteggi corona infatti si estendono praticamente lungo tutto un fianco.Ottima la funzionalità della ghiera a 90 scatti, dotata tra l’altro di dot luminescente al 12 e buona e sufficientemente persistente e piacevole la visibilità-immagine al buio.L’estetica è caratterizzata da un quadrante di diametro contenuto dove la larghezza della ghiera contribuisce ad esaltare il senso di circonferenza.Insolito quanto indovinato l’uso di lancette tipo lozenge ;impostazione che riesce a non rendere banale e a dare un tocco di classicità ad una estetica che altrimenti si ridurrebbe al solito tipo diver-sub.Piacevolmente caratterizzanti anche i grandi numeri arabi posti in corrispondenza delle 6,9 e 12.La presenza di un anello graduato con i secondi (rheò) che raccorda vetro e piano quadrante è indice che nulla del disegno,è stato lasciato al caso.Il bracciale seppur economico non sferraglia eccessivamente e a differenza di altri non cigola; per accorciarlo basta un punteruolo anche se sarebbe meglio dotarsi di una spernatrice (anche una da pochissimi euro va bene).La chiusura deploiante con semplice doppio pulsante è quanto di più comodo e veloce nello vesti e svesti di ogni giorno, cioè da everyday watch; che sarebbe poi l’uso ed essenza propria di questo orologio.Direi che a questo prezzo è il miglior orologio al quarzo non solare, tutto in acciaio e impermeabile 200 metri di tutti i tempi.Un orologio che oltre a portare in dote tutta la qualità,affidabilità e sostanza che ci si aspetta da un orologio giapponese, è capace pure di fare una bella,moderna e poliedrica presenza al polso, grazie anche a dimensioni che lo rendono adattissimo a tutti; maschietti adulti, ragazzi e pure al pubblico femminile.

[...]Gli orologi Casio, a mio avviso, sono tra i migliori al mondo per qualità e prezzo.Questo orologio possiede ottime caratteristiche: precisione quarzo, resistente all’acqua sino a 200 metri (lo tengo al polso sia per il bagno sia per le immersioni in apnea), lunga durata della batteria, esteticamente bello.Il bracciale in acciaio è praticamente eterno, non lo si dovrà mai sostituire e non si altera (lo consiglio).Il datario è piccolo, ma comunque visibile.Un oggetto bello, funzionale, di alta qualità e a un prezzo decisamente basso.Lo consiglio.

[...]Omaggio al Longines Hydroconquest e perciò davvero molto bello. E’ robustissimo e subacqueo, adatto anche a chi fa immersioni in apnea seriamente. La corona di carica è a vite, il fondello pure, cose da orologi che costano molto di più. La ghiera è unidirezionale, precisa, nel mio esemplare è allineata perfettamente. Il vetro è proprio vetro, minerale (non zaffiro, e vabbè…). La fosforescenza delle cifre sul quadrante ottima e, contrariamente a quello che avevo scritto precedentemente, dopo averlo usato qualche mese posso affermare che è anche piuttosto duratura. Infatti, dopo averlo avvicinato ad una lampadina per alcuni secondi, lo si riesce a leggere anche dopo cinque ore in condizioni di buio totale. Non è molto grande come diametro, (40 mm) perciò non adatto a chi è abituato a misure al limite del polso, o per chi a polsi molto grandi. Precisissimo. Credo che sia uno dei migliori orologi al quarzo in assoluto e non solo come rapporto qualità-prezzo. L’unico difetto che ha è quello di avere la ghiera in alluminio e non ceramica, per cui risulta delicata. Ma del resto fino a poco tempo fa le ghiere in ceramica non esistevano nemmeno, e poi per questi soldi…
