I have owned a lot of Garmin-watches over the years. The lates one was the Enduro, which unfortunately met an untimely death…After some comparisons and reviews later i settled for the 2X Solar which has all the functions i really need – at an affordable price. The jump up to, say an Enduro 2, is too big.If you can live without having a touch or colordisplay, advanced maps and musicstreaming – get this watch.Build quality is good, the previous Enduro had a titanium body, but you know, once again, costs more.I use my 2X for:- Strength- Running- Walking- Hiking- Biking- SwimmingWhich just works. I do also have an HRM-Pro chest strap for some more reliable data. A good buy, which will be used in the same fashion as the previous Enduro: every day.

I only have one little caveat here and that’s the interface.Not the watch specifically – it’s a bit difficult overall (watch + mobile app) and will definitely take some time for me to get used to.However, I’m not a Garmin guy so that’s normal.Features i loved so far:Activities including “Gaming” :)Torch functionComfortable strapRugged structure and lookSolar & battery: the watch came with 37% battery and after a day of use, it’s on 45%. given that it’s been raining non stop and i there was no proper sunlight, this is an insane stat! bear in mind that my notifications were on for a few hours + i tracked a gaming activity for 2.5 hours.All in all, if you are familiar with Garmin, go for it.If you are new to Garmin, be patient with it. :)

Zegarek jest super. Bateria trzyma bardzo długo. Jest dokładnie taki jaki chciałem. Rozmiar 50mm jest idealny. Duży czytelny wyświetlacz, mnóstwo trybów sportowych. Nie jestem fanem typowych smartwatchy z dotykowymi ekranami dlatego wybór Instinct 2x solar był idealny. Bardzo wygodny pasek ale to już norma u Garmina tak samo jak Suunto. Jeśli chodzi o solar to bardziej podtrzymywanie baterii w trybie zegarka niż ładowanie więc raczej nie warto się tym kierować, ponieważ uprawiając sporty i używając gps bateria będzie się rozładowywać. Nie ma szans żeby solar utrzymał poziom baterii jeśli np. codziennie jeździ się na rowerze z włączonym gps. Zawsze byłem fanem g-shocka ale po założeniu pierwszej wersji Instinct 45mm Garmin wygrał przez swoją wygodę lekkość i pasek. Zobaczymy jak będzie z trwałością zegarka bo póki co nie można narzekać. [...]Avevo bisogno di un Garmin dopo che il mio Venus mi aveva abbandonato, dopo varie ricerche ho deciso di provare con l’istinct 2x solar, e devo dire che sono rimasto soddisfatto.In questo momento ho settato tutti i sensori al massimo e la durata massima della batteria in modalità smartwatch è di 40 giorni.Sono solito fare anche delle uscite in trekking ed anche lì in base alla durata dell’uscita riesco a registrare 2/3 tracce.Il display è tranquillamente leggibile, ovviamente non è touch ma a me piace come stile. Il pannello solare si comporta bene, anche se nell’ultimo periodo non c’è stato molto sole😅.In aggiunta ho preso a parte anche il vetrino per proteggere lo schermo.Trovo molto utile anche la torcia integrata, tutto sommato fa una buona luce, trovo anche comodo il led rosso.Le notifiche si leggono abbastanza bene, nessuna grossa problematica.Consiglio l’orologio 👍

[...]Ho aspettato un po a fare questa recensione. Venendo dal fenix 5 plus per alcune cose c’è un abisso. Molte meno watchfaces e cose così. Ma ci stà, non è il motivo per cui si prende questo sportwatch. Questo ti scordi di ricaricarlo, non ho avuto modo di vedere quanto influisce la ricarica solare ma in minima parte nel mio caso. I sensori sono buoni come tutti i garmin la vestibilità è ottima, il fatto di avere un orologio rugged con molte funzioni e sopratutto garmin pay è essenziale per me. Già solo la lucetta integrata l’ho usata tantissime volte. Super consigliato

[...]Acquistato la versione 2X Solar graphite dopo aver precedentemente comprato la versione 2X Solar tactical coyote tan; quest’ultimo, premetto, è davvero un colore bellissimo ma ahimè “limitato” nell’abbinamento cromatico, a mio giudizio, qualora si decidesse di cambiare il cinturino optando per un altro colore. Perciò ho virato sul classico, il graphite (che NON è nero, sia chiaro, bensì è un colore simil “mina della matita” per farvi capire) non stanca,non stona e si abbina praticamente con tutto. Anche la cornice che circonda il display, che tende ad una sfumatura rossastra per via del pannello solare montato sotto la scocca, passa in secondo piano…nel senso che risalta poco e stona decisamente meno nel graphite rispetto al coyote tan, dove invece era quasi un pugno nell’occhio sempre per un discorso di abbinamento cromatico tra quest’ultima e il colore principale dell’orologio. In ogni caso, nell’immagine che ho postato, ci si può comunque fare un’idea riguardo a quanto appena descritto. Fatte le dovute precisazioni passiamo a sottolineare quanto ne sia eimast(nuovamente) soddisfatto! Dimensioni imponenti, i 50mm si vedono tutti; ciò nonostante l’orologio risulta leggerissimo, tanto che indossato la notte quasi non lo so avverte. Esteticamente parlando amo le sue finiture rugged stile g-shock di Casio, il display transflettivo in bianco e nero si vede bene in ogni condizione di luce (ovviamente la sera se ci si trova in zone poche illuminate bisogna avvalersi della sua retroilluminazione, attivabile semplicemente pigiando il tasto in alto a sinistra, ma mi pare scontata come cosa). Autonomia che ve lo dico a fare, con tutto attivo (tranne il rilevamento h24 dell’ossigenazione del sangue) la batteria cala di 2-3 punti percentuali che corrispondono ad un giorno di autonomia, ergo i 40gg dichiarati non sembrano affatto in miraggio…e poi c’è la ricarica solare che da una mano, anche se dovreste stare almeno dalle 3 alle 5 ore al giorno all’aperto per giovare a pieno dei risultati di questa funzione. Per il resto, rilevazioni precise, ha tutto (e di più) si ció che uno sporitt/amante delle escursioni all’aria aperta possa chiedere.Assolutamente consigliato, se le vostre tasche ve lo permettono a mio giudizio il gioco vale la candela. Se avete il polso piccolo o volete qualcosa di meno “ingombrante” potete sempre virare sulla versione 2 Solar che misura 5mm in meno, risparmiando in contemporanea qualche soldino.Servizio Amazon impeccabile come sempre!

[...]Nei parametri proposti da Amazon c’è anche “schermo touch”, va detto che lo smartwatch funziona solo con tasti fisici. Ho seguito tutta l’evoluzione della serie Instinct e devo dire che quest’ultimo upgrade mi piace proprio tanto. Garmin mi ha sempre abituato ad aggiornamenti non banali e devo dire che il passaggio a questo non è estetico ma pratico. La batteria dura molto di più e lo schermo più grande rende perfetta la lettura dei dati in ogni condizione, la torcia è molto funzionale la sera e complessivamente è diventato una normale appendice del mio corpo, un booster per ogni attività, sonno incluso. Inoltre il multi-band ha reso ancora più precisi i rilevamenti quindi come potrei farne a meno?

[...]È un Smartwatch per così dire, ma è sopratutto un vero orologio TATTICO (anche nella versione standard, quindi non il Tattico). In effetti, ad un militare od un trekker, non servono tutte quelle funzioni che piacciono ai patiti dello sport; ma servono delle funzioni essenziali come ORA, DATA, CRONO, TIMER E GPS …ed una batteria, in modalità RISPARMIO, CHE DURA CENTO GIORNI. Poi la robustezza è assicurata ed è leggerissimo rispetto ai blasonati metallici.La versione TATTICO ha poco senso: gli sniper usano un mini computer con anemometro e telemetro laser; ed i paracadutisti che fanno i lanci HaHo-HaLo devono saltare da un aereo in base ad un piano studiato con precisione in anticipo e conosciuto dal pilota coi dati GPS, altitudine e velocità. Forse potrebbe servire la funzione Kill Switch, ma credo che un nemico attrezzato riuscirebbe comunque a recuperare i dati di navigazione.
