The watch is great I bought it as a present and went through all the functions to make sure it worked before wrapping it up.All the features are there and work fine. The interesting feature all worked to a high standard, Alt, compass, Pedometer. The watch numbers are clear and bright, and for those who need it there is a backlight function.Great watch for the money.Shame about the delivery, despite having a sprung letter box, door knocker and a door bell. The package was left on the front step in plane site in the rain without knocking the door. I was in the front room all day catching up with work and only left the room a couple of times even then my wife was in the room. I went out to put the rubbish out and there was the package. The amazon outer packaging saved the day from the rain though so the watch boxing and watch were not damaged.

Sehr gute Uhr mit sehr genauen Werten, für Luftdruck Barometer in Hektor Pascal, Höhenmesser, Wettervorhersage und Kompass. Der Kompass muß logischerweise erst kalibriert werden, damit er digital angezeigt wird. Es wird dann keine Nadel angezeigt, sondern Englische Werte wie N für North oder NE für North East (Nord Osten) usw. Wenn man richtig kalibriert hat dan wird der genaue Norden mit N 0°, also Norden und null Grad angezeigt für den geografische Nordpol. Wenn man sich dreht, ändern sich die Grad Zahlen und die Buchstaben der Richtung. (Wenn man will, kann man auch den MAGNETISCHEN Nordpol einstellen statt den Geografischen der auf einem standart Kompass mit Nadel zu sehen ist. Das wäre aber nur etwas für Profies). Die Schritte zur Kalibrierung stehen in der Anleitung. Nach der Kalibrierung zeigt der Kompass genau die Werte wie ein normaler physischer Kompass mit einer Nadel. Für die Wettervorhersage muß zuerst die richtige Stadt als Standort eingestellt werden, für Deutschland wäre das BER für Berlin. Diese Uhr kann ausserdem, andere Werte messen, wie Schritte, Kalorienverbrauch, gelaufene Kilometer, Stoppuhr und Timer mit Rückwertsrechnung. Alarm kann man auch einstellen.

I bought this watch to replace my much loved Casio “altimeter” watch, which Casio have decided to discontinue.I toyed with buying a GPS watch, but since it is going to be banged against stiles, rock and gates in the great outdoors, I went for something which could be replaced it or when it gets scratched or broken.I also wanted a watch which could give distance in miles, altitude in feet and temperature in celcius, all of which can be selected for this watch, although km, metres and farenheit are also available.I looked at some of the much more expensive watches, but frankly their displays were just too faint to read in less than perfect light. This one has a clear display.Now, six months on and I have nothing but praise for this fantastic watch. The altimeter is based on atmospheric pressure, and so needs setting at the start of each walk. Whilst this is straightforward, as the watch reads to the nearest foot, adjusting the height is a little time consuming, and I tend to not bother, and simply work out how much higher we are now!The best (unexpected) feature is definitely the built in pedometer. After a couple of walks I know to be 10 miles, it was an easy calculation to set the “pace length” so that the watch now accurately measures how long a walk is. One slight “quirk” with the pedometer us that at the start of a walk you have to “wake it up” with a sort of drumming gesture of your arm, and sometimes after a pause, such as a lunch stop, you need to repeat the gesture.I suspect that the strap will split in time (that was what did for my Casio) and I am not sure how easy sourcing a replacement strap will be, but the price of this watch was only a little more than the cost of a replacement strap for the Casio.All in all, and excellent watch.
