Nice and compact. The case is hard and was able to keep my watches safe as they were crammed into a full suitcase. The material in the inside is very soft and the pillows are alright. Depending on the size of the watch, there may be some room to rattle otherwise ei have no doubt this would keep my timepieces safe during a flight
