J’ai réexpédié la montre et demandé un remboursement. Le vendeur a reçu la montre il y a une semaine mais j’attends toujours mon remboursement. La qualité est MEDIOCRE, la montre ressemble aux montres vendues à 10 euros sur les marchés.

This watch contains the 21J 7s26B movement; other reviewers may decry its lack of hacking and handwinding, but I have found it to be solid and dependable. My watch gains ~11 seconds a day, which is very good for a watch costing less than a hundred dollars. Overall I have found this watch to both look good and function well. I especially like the straight-sided lugs and applied indices. The combination of brushed and polished surfaces on the case (very common on Seiko watches) looked a bit strange at first but I have grown to like it. The indices, hands, and the bezel around the date window are VERY reflective. The indices especially, which are peaked and have two facets on top (three for the twelve o’clock index) catch the light very well even in darkened rooms, making it easy to tell the time even without the lume.The watch has lume on the hour and minute hands, and a dot on the outside of every index. The lume, when charged fully, is quite bright, but doesn’t hold its charge for very long. I’d rate the lume generally bad, especially compared to the average dive watch, but as a dressier watch the lume isn’t as big a consideration.I picked this version of the watch specifically because neither the second hand nor the day/date were red; I was only mostly correct. The date is never red (white text), and the text for most days is also white, but the text for Sunday is in red. However, in general this meets my requirements of not having red on the dial. The brand name, the shield with the “5”, and the indices are all applied, which makes for a consistent look. The only thing printed on the dial is the “Automatic 21 Jewels” and the small movement model number near the very bottom. On some other Seiko 5’s the dial looks a bit strange as the brand/shield are applied but the indices are printed, but this model does not have that problem.I cannot comment much on the bracelet, as I never used it. When I received the watch I placed it on an 18mm black leather alligator strap and I enjoy the look more than I did on the bracelet. The bracelet I received had folded links and flimsy facade endlinks, and used seiko’s pin/collar method for removing links. It was also rather thin for a bracelet, as this watch has 18mm lugs. The watch is overall smaller than average, having ~36mm case diameter without the crown and 18mm lugs. The general trend has been towards larger case sizes, and I would perhaps have preferred as lightly larger case (~38mm). The 18mm lugs are the worst thing about the watch. 20mm lugs would have been much better, as I find 18mm straps to be extremely thin. However, proportionally I think the watch has a good look and is definitely a good value for the price.

You cannot go wrong with a Seiko 5. A huge range of designs and you can regularly buy them for under £100. The only negative with these watches are the straps which are cheaply made. I bought a black leather strap for this watch and swapped them over.These are great watches for everyday use and a great way to get into automatic watches as you have the display window on the reverse side to see the movement at work.This is my second Seiko 5 and I think I will probably buy one more at a later date.The photos on the listings do not do them justice.
